WRC is forming teams for the CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield National Half Marathon Team Relay (3 legs: 5 miles, 5 miles, and 3.1 miles). We would like to have a strong WRC presence. We already have one all-female team (Christine, Joanna, and Amanda) and one all-male team (John K., Jerry I., and Dan Y.).

Emily Cupito Takes 7th Place at Frederick Marathon
Congratulations to Emily Cupito for taking 7th place at the Frederick Marathon, with a time of 3:30:20. Emily also took 1st place in her age group. This is an amazing feat considering the oppressive heat on marathon day.

Gerry Ives Wins Age Group at Cherry Blossom Ten Miler
WRC’s Gerry Ives, 70, ran 1:11:20 to win his age group by almost 13 minutes at the Cherry Blossom Ten Miler held on April 11, 2010.

Dan Yi Takes 7th Place at National Marathon
Congratulations to WRC’s Dan Yi for taking 7th place with 2:36:52 at the Suntrust National Marathon in Washington, D.C. on March 20, 2010.
