WRC Team competes in Nation’s Triathlon
WRC places third in The Nation’s Triathlon (Olympic distance) relay. Michael Proulx, Dane Rauschenberg and Zach Desmond finished 3rd out of 45 teams in Saturday’s inaugural swim, bike and run through the nation’s capital. Marathon man Dane led off with a swim through the Potomac River. Despite much speculation as to the cleanliness of the Potomac, it turned out to be a very pleasant swim. New WRC member Zach Desmond then stepped in for cyclist Will Schaffer who was called away last minute for work. Finally, Michael Proulx took the proverbial baton and weaved through the district before crossing the finish line a couple blocks from The White House for a total time of 2:00:34.
