This way, members can look up past member news, race results and other club activity stuff that has happened. Archives are now up for February/March (since last online news) and April. There will also be miscellaneous photo pages of member running and activities from time to time (there is one page up now for early 2006).

For links, check out:

7. BANNER ORDERED, SECRETARY WORKING ON NEW SHIRTS.

The club has ordered a new banner to display at big races and for other various activities. It will be in shortly. It will look much like the banner that heads our award winning webpages (washrun.org).

Secretary Bart is working on designs for a new wicking running shirt with the WRC logo. Once completed and ordered, those will available for sale by the club (at a to-be-determined subsidized price).

We still have WRC tshirts for sale for $10 each. To get one see President Baker at the Sunday run, track workout, or send him an email: swbaker@comcast.net. To see what they look like, check out: http://www.washrun.org/for-members/store/

Young Kim 37 M

Ryan Dent 26 M
Madelene Dolente 29 F

We welcome Young, Elizabeth, Ryan, and Madelene into the WRC!

Other News:

Bryon Powell has gone off to Park City, Utah for the summer to study for the bar exam and run in his spare time, or rather, we suppose it’s to run (training for the Western States 100 Miler) and study in his spare time. In either case, he’s on the lam from DC.

Diana Johnson is off to Turkey this summer for an archaeological dig. Dig on Diana…and learn something too!

Genevieve Kiley will be leaving the DC area soon with her job to return to Utah and then ultimately to San Francisco in the Fall. We’ll be losing our VP and will greatly miss her leadership and of course her great running as well!

Emily Turner will be off to law school at Penn in the Fall. So many schools, such a big decision. But ultimately Penn prevailed!

We wish all these fine members the best with their summer travels, moves, and career enhancing endeavors!

“I’m hitting the road. Maybe I’ll drop you a line some day from wherever I wind up in this crazy old world.” –Homer Simpson
