Run Of Shame / Sunday Run

Looks like we are in for near-perfect conditions for our Sunday distance run! Come on out for some quality miles with your running buds, and cap it off with coffee and socializing at Dean & Deluca after. Variable pace groups (7:00 – 10:00) and distances (8-20 mi).

We’ll start as usual at 0700 in front of CB2 on M and 33rd in Georgetown. For those running really long (e.g. 20) and still desiring to make social hour before everyone else leaves, a few stalwart souls will start at 0600 to grab a quick 6 miles around the mall before rejoining the main group at 0700. (That very select group has lately been a ~8min pace group.)

Finally, remember our (4th?) annual Labor Day Run of Shame, taking place on Monday, Sept. 4 (so, two Mondays hence) at the Georgetown Waterfront. See flyer below. This is always a blast and has proven a great WRC recruiting event as well. Plan on coming out to participate and be an ambassador for the club—try and bring a friend!

Sunday Run

We’re in store for another unseasonably comfortable Sunday morning this week, so join us for our weekly group run.

We will meet at 7:00 am in front of the CB2, Georgetown, for our monthly group photo and then enjoy the many benefits of exercise. Coffee and conversation will follow.

If you’re interested in six or seven bonus miles, a few of us will meet at 6:00 am at the CB2 for extra credit.

Also, mark your calendar for our annual September 4 “Labor Day Run of Shame.” It’s the high point of the WRC year, so plan to be there. Details to follow.

Sunday Run

It’s not too early to make plans to enjoy a rare cool July morning this Sunday. The forecast predicts that our 7:00 am start should feature a temperature of around 62 degrees. A few of us will meet at 6:00 to fit in a few early miles, so feel free to join us.

Meet in front of the CB2 store on M Street in Georgetown.

Sunday Run

Come join us at 7 am on Sunday for our weekly group run.  (If you’re interested in getting in a few more miles, meet up at 6:05 am at the CB2, and we’ll sneak in 6-7 miles before the rest of the crew shows up at 7.)

As always, stay around for conversation and coffee after the run.

Be on the lookout for an email soon about our monthly happy hour – J. Kendra tells me that happy hour this month will be this coming Thursday or Friday.
