Sunday March 2 2025 with WRC

The Sunday long run will return this Sunday, 5/23! Just like in old times, we will meet at 7 a.m. in front of CB2 in Georgetown (3307 M St NW). We’ll run then gather for coffee. Note one change: We are moving coffee back to our old stomping grounds at the former Dean and Deluca (3276 M St NW). Dean and Deluca is closed, so you’ll have to get refreshments elsewhere, but they have tables set up outside along the building that we can use.
We will plan the long-awaited restart of the Sunday long runs on May 23! The Mayor’s Order for the health emergency ends on May 20, and the 23rd is the first Sunday following this. We will send out more details as the date approaches, but for now, it’s something we can all look forward to. Watch this space for updates.
Happy New Year! Here’s a belated posting with last week’s First Sunday photo. This week it feels like spring. Funny to see us all in our warm running clothes.
Here’s the picture from last Sunday’s run. Sorry to be a couple of days late, but due to a web site SNAFU our page was down for a couple of days.
Tomorrow, Sept 22, 2019, WRC switches to an 8 am start time for the fall/winter season. So enjoy that extra hour of sleep then show up well-rested for the Sunday long run.
