June Club Meeting
Our next meeting will be on Friday, June 27th at 7:30 p.m. at Tris Krugers place in Potomac Maryland. (Tris’s house is also the staging grounds for our Sunday summer runs.) We think there is no better way to celebrate the Summer Solistice than staging a cookout at WRC’s Summer Palace. We will be doing a short run starting at 6:30 that evening followed by eating, of course. The address is: 9641 Accord Dr, Potomac, MD. (see directions below)

April Club Meeting
The April WRC Meeting will be at Armand’s Pizzeria (Tenleytown) on Wisconsin Avenue in Washington, DC on April 27 at 7:30 p.m. located at 4231 Wisconsin Avenue (202-686-9450). The agenda will include topics ranging from recent races, web site traffic, upcoming team competitions, report from Penn Relays and uniforms.

GW MARATHON RELAY

The GW Marathon Relay will be our first club race of 1999. On February 14th at 10:30 a.m. in Greenbelt, WRC will unfurl the flag of defiance once again. This is a race where we challenge other clubs such as Montgomery County RRC, Northern Virginia, Annapolis Striders and Potomac Runners. In times past, this is where WRC has acquired fame and glory, as well as some rather garish trophies.

The next meeting will be held in conjunction with the WRC picnic at Tris Kruger’s house on SUNDAY, AUGUST 23, starting at 12 Noon and ending at 4:00 p.m. Please note the ending time – we’ve had some people abuse Tris’s hospitality by staying much later.
